I WAS IN HOLLAND AT SOESTERBURG AFB, A/C F-100 #034 FROM 1956 TO 1959, MADE A LOT OF FREINDS AMERICAN AND DUTCH. HAD A WONDERFUL TIME THERE WISH I COULD HAVE COME BACK A COUPLE OF TIMES, MABEY IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS WE WILL. IF ANY OF UYOU KNOW ME SEND ME A LINE OR TWO WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YA. I was at CNA from 12/77 till 82. Great times! I was in Fuel Shop for the transfer of F4 to the F15A and Bs. A lot of great memories and is where I meet my wife of 36 years. I wish it was still open.

Became part of the world famous WOLFHOUND Team Aug 78 . I was o the acceptance team with Capt Dave Cyntain(sp), MSgt Al Evers,n SSgt Jim
Owens from Sep - Dec 78 ,returning with my family in Jan 79 ,assigned as the first crew chief of F-15A 77-85 , a shift lead on Zulu Alert for a short tour before becoming a APG QA inspector late 79, early 82
went back to the flight line as the Orange 2 Expeditor until leaving Aug 84. Met many friends both USAF n Dutch and many many great memories with all and still have contact with lots of them .also have
made 2 trips to the local area staying with our Dutch neighbors.

on the flight line, then in Transient Maintenance
(T-bird flt.)and then into the Periodic Docks.
I was reassigned to CNA from 1976 to 1979.
Again on the flight for a short time before
going into Job Control.

Had the good fortune of not only be stationed at CNA (Soesterberg AB) once but twice. Mar79-May81; Feb84-Feb88. Det 3, 2184 Communications
Squadron our of Hahn AB, GE the first time and Det 3, 2005 CW, Sembach AB, GE the second time.
Telephone Maint in the old quansot hutch facility west of the AGE lot.
The later assignment we installed new fiber and copper cable throughout the base supporting our new voice switch in the new MILCON facility just north of the old bldg. Power Pro shared the old
facility with us. MSgt West, SrA Hoch, with SSgt Kranz as my supervisor. Chief Knox and MSgt Steward were our div
chief/deputy

The 32nd AOS was my first assignment as a 1C5 from Jan 2003 - Jan
2005. It was also one of the most memorable. I could have asked for a
better unit to start my Air Force career, or a better group of people
to work with!

Good luck on your web site. I was at CNA 9/58 - 6/61 in the Comm. Shop. Good to see Behnke and possibly D'Angelo in front of The Spitfire. We had a reunion at CNA back in 2004 which was the 50th Anniversary of the base. All had a great time. I would be glad to hear from anyone .

served at CNA from 1970-73. I was a 461 BB stacker (munitions maintenance in the bomb dump). Some guys who worked there were Bill Allen, Bill Discuillo, Paul Sangermano, Mike Ploch, Andy Anderson, Howard (never heard his first name), and many others. Ken Knopp, a loader, was a roommate. Ken and I stay in touch and I think Paul Sangermano may have died a couple of years ago. Any others out there?

Lost touch. Got out Sept 92 and joined WV ARNG in 01. Went back to the Sandbox ad a combat Engineer. Too many good memories to post.

GREAT SITE! I was the OMS superintendent from 1974 till 1976. It was a great outfit. While there we had the honor of having the first female aircraft mechanics assigned to our unit. They were great.

 1971 to '76......air force brat. Loved it there so much. Beautiful people. We had no base housing we lived in Soest.
A little school on base k thru' 9th grade....the high school age kids were bussed to Afcent where they would stay in a dorm and come home on weekends.
Now they had the time of their lives...I missed it by leaving Holland at the end of 9th grade.
We had the NCO club us kids would go over to wait for parents or the bus froj Afcent Friday nights...I remember foodland....a little movie theater in that same building....would love to hear from any one from that time.

 My father was stationed at Camp New Amsterdam 32nd FIS from 62-65.
Hydraulic Shop. F-102 Delta Daggers or Darts. If anyone happens to
pass by this site and recalls the name Blevins, T/Sgt. , I'd sure
appreciate hearing back from you. He's been gone now for 32 years but
I still recall our time there.

 Was at Soesterberg from Nov 1968 to Nov 1973. After all these years my
daughter still holds her Dutch citizenship. I worked in the WCS shop
both on the line and in the mock-up. I also ran the Cal Dock. Lived in
Zeist, then Utrecht, and finally in Amerongen.

I was redirected to Soesterberg in 1988 when they closed Woendsdrecht
after the INF treaty. I loved the two years there and have a lot of
good memories. Was a cop (LE) and actually thought staying at W.S.
Kamp was pretty cool.

military family, marriage to an enlisted man and the birth of our

Bericht: I was in the Armament Shop at Soesterberg from 1986-1992. We loved
the place and the people. We went back a few years ago and visited
with Friends and our Landlords and their families and we still try to
keep in touch. The travel opportunities were great. We traveled all
over Europe. Those were an awesome six years.

I was stationed at CNA for a number of years and was a part of a small
team that went to incerlik turkey during the gulf war. The wolfhounds
represented America and Holland well. We took very few acft if I
recall but we did well. I know we (jet engine troop) worked our butts
off. It was a great base surrounded by great towns.

I was stationed there from March of 1973 until June of 1976.
Many great people in the  FMS, "Electric Shop". They included ;
TSgt. Marvin, TSgt. Bill, SSgt. John,
SSgt. Pete,  SSgt. Scott, SSgt. Joe,
Sgt. Bob, Sgt. David,  Sgt. Kent,
AIC Bob and AIC Renee. It was a great tour of duty. I sure miss those days.
